Meet Me


I'm June and I am the photographer behind Tail Wags and Sparkles. I have been in the photography business for the past fifteen years. You may know me best as Jemima & Me Photography where I create images of adorable babies and children. I also provide wedding photography for smaller ceremonies.
I have been very lucky in life in that I have enjoyed everything that I have done up to now. I started out by training as a psychiatric nurse at Sunnyside Royal Hospital. After a few years I needed a change and used my nurse training to work as a childrens' nanny. I did this for several years spending time in Glasgow, London and Italy. I worked for the most lovely families and some have become lifelong friends. It was during this time that I discovered a love of photography and studied for three years in Glasgow which brings me to now..... I live in my quirky wee cottage in Perthshire. I love being outdoors even in the wind and rain. I am totally inspired by life and nature. My biggest inspiration was my own lovely dog and I love spending time with animals and making fun animal portraits. As a result I have had several solo exhibitions and hope to do so again in the near furture.


So here is the Inspiration himself. In 2003 I visited the Dog's Trust in West Calder and came home with an adorable wee bundle in my arms. Little did I know how amazing this 8 week old puppy was to become. He stole everyone's heart from the start and paid in friendship, love and loyalty one million times over. Somehow the time slipped by and that tiny puppy became a wise old man. My Munro. I wouldn't have swapped him for the world.

Munro sadly passed away in October 2017 aged 14 years. He had the happiest wee life and the years were precious. I'm so glad that I have so many precious memories on my walls. It was being the proud human of an older boy that was my inspiration to set up Tail Wags and Sparkles. I celebration of all those wee characters who enrich our lives without even trying. I can't wait to meet them all
